Salmon Hatchery

We had a lot of fun at the salmon hatchery last week! Students we able to touch salmon eggs, see salmon swimming up stream, feed salmon after sharing one new fact, and learn about the life cycle of salmon. They learned what female salmon look for to build her "redd" and the difference between males and females. We were very fortunate that the weather kept us dry! We will be learning more about this natural resource as we continue our unit about Northwest Coast Native Americans.

We would like to say THANK YOU to all of our chaperones!
